I would imagine that the best they could do would be to measure/record the scale of the problem and then (as with SAFCEC and MBSA) apply pressure on the government ministers with responsibility for affected projects and the office of the President. In the case of the CIDB this would be by reporting to their Minister, the Minister of the Department of Public Works and here, they could stress the impact that his will have on the economy and the ‘ratings agencies’ view of the future. My view has always been (and probably will always be), Construction Mafias – are exactly that, Mafias, there is no basis of engaging any mafia. These morons should never be recognised, the police and other law enforcement agencies must deal with unscrupulous nuisances.
